About The Robotic Life

The Robotic Life is a humanoid robotics resource hub based in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The site serves hobbyists, enthusiasts, investors, and everyday consumers who want credible, accessible information about the humanoid robotics industry.

Editorial Focus

The site covers humanoid robotics, autonomous robot companies, funding activity, and the investment implications of the category. Content is produced in plain language for readers without engineering backgrounds. Each piece is sourced to verified industry coverage and named primary documents.

Coverage extends to commercial deployments, product launches, bankruptcy and acquisition events, regulatory developments, and the trade policy decisions affecting humanoid robotics manufacturers. Editorial discipline applies a consistent skeptical lens to demo videos, press release claims, and pilot announcements. Demo footage is evaluated against deployment evidence. Press release dollar figures are evaluated against court filings and SEC disclosures.

Site Resources

The site maintains two flagship reference tools:

  • A live funding tracker and company hub at the autonomous robot companies section, covering 31 major humanoid robotics companies with funding rounds, total capital raised, implied valuations, and institutional backers
  • A humanoid robot directory cataloging active platforms from Tesla Optimus, Figure 03, 1X Neo, Agility Digit, and other leading developers

Editorial output includes the Robot of the Week series, news analysis, and original video commentary published to YouTube and the site.

About Lars Talbert

Lars Talbert is the founder and editor of The Robotic Life. He is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in technology sales and 14 years as the founder and operator of Strongbox, a mobile document shredding company.

Background and Experience

Lars has been an active stock market investor for more than 30 years. His investment background developed alongside his operational career in technology sales and small business ownership.

Path to Humanoid Robotics

Lars entered humanoid robotics through his long-term investment in Tesla. Tracking Tesla led to the recognition that humanoid robots would become a major commercial category. The investor-and-consumer resource he wanted to read did not exist, so he built The Robotic Life.

Founder Statement

“I didn’t come to robotics through engineering, I came through investing. I was tracking Tesla and realized humanoid robots were going to change everything. I looked for a resource built for investors and everyday people and it didn’t exist. So I built it.”
